Pursuing A Passion For Photography
Ask and you shall receive. In this case the smiling face of a store cashier and a few non-smiling faces of strangers😉
I was challenged by my friend Gethin Thomas to scan through my shots from 2022 and find shots that I overlooked to make a post. He suggested maybe 10 photos or one from each month of the year.
Well that challenge is easier said than done.
I took a substantial number of shots last year of which 10,832 of them are still residing on my hard drive.
To pick only 12 was not going to be easy.
While some might have not made the cut for posting, they are still quite meaningful to me. Therefor, I changed the challenge number to 24 and decided to look for either ones that I overlooked or ones that I had already shared but were still very appealing to me.
Thanks Gethin for the idea (and title).
Thanks John Durham for inspiring me on the presentation.
This week's challenge: photos that blur the action.
I tried several scenarios.
In each scenario instead of using rear curtain flash, I chose to use a very slow shutter speed to capture the actions.
Not having left the resort except for the walk along the beach, I decided that on our drive back to the airport I would try to catch a few snaps of the city through the car window.
The distance from the Palladium to the airport is about 10 miles and most of the route taken is within the city center.
By the way the blurriness you see has nothing to do with your eyesight going bad, I guarantee it. 😉
And so this concludes the Punta Cana adventure.....onward to the next!
The Grand Palladium complex consists of four hotels in Punta Cana set on the edge of the Playa de Bávaro. The complex is owened by the Palladium Hotel Group.
The Palladium Hotel Group was born at the end of the 60's in Ibiza by the businessman Abel Matutes Juan, with the dream of bringing paradise closer to travelers and offering them incredible experiences. Since then the hotel chain has opened hotels in Balearic Islands, the Canary Islands, and resorts in the Carribean as well as Spain, Italy Mexico, Jamaica, Brazil and the Dominican Republic.
