Redo! Week 52

"The last challenge of 2022 and time for a Mulligan - Redo a challenge of your choice from this year. A chance to get a second crack at a challenge's image that you think you could improve on."

"Or maybe choose one that you had a lot of fun doing the first time!"

Bird Watching in Punta Cana

I saw a very limited number of birds at the resort we were vacationing.

Some were of the local genre and the others of the standard variety.

All kept their distance, except for this little guy who seemed to enjoy strutting amongst the derriers. 😁

Watching Umbrellas Being Made

What better place to watch palm umbrellas being made than in Punta Cana.

After all, the words Punta and Cana do mean tip and cane.

The building a wooden frame starts the process.

It is erected and positioned.

Then the "weaving" of the leaves commence.

With time and sun, the leaves are weathered.

And when it is totally weathered and dry, the cycle starts all over again.

Break The Rules! Week 51

"Shoot at an angle, overexpose, create motion blur. As long as you are breaking with intention, your artistic license will enable the viewer to view your frame this week in the most unique and creative way."

Or in my case unique and "wacky" as someone said.😉😁

ICM was the technique of choice this week.

One more week and another year of challenges under my belt.

Roll Of 24! Week 50

 The weekly challenge:

"You have a maximum of 24 frames to shoot and choose this week's submission from those 24 shots alone !"

I didn't shoot 24 shots for this challenge.

I only shot 7 for the challenge, knowing what I wanted the look to be.

But that's not to say I didn't use my camera for other captures besides the challenge.

Shoot From Below! Week 49

The goal for this week's challenge is to shoot from below, changing the view to a low angle and creating a different perspective when looking at objects or people.

No holes at the bottom of these boots but they are well worn.

Tried both monochrome and color for this pose...really not sure which I like, if any.

If you are wondering what the following two photos are.....well it's the old vinyl player, rejuvinated.

I know, I know, you are saying:
" Not that old wrinkled pumpkin again!"
But there is something about the way it has shriveled up that grabs my attention each time.

Yes! The stale Halloween candy is back in the picture

Mushrooms were on sale, hence they needed to play a part this week.

It seems everyone I know has been taking photos of big bucks roaming around the farmlands.

Since, I have yet to see one myself, this old guy became the replacement.

The light and shadows around this roos, was the pull.

Yup, it was a repeat of some old props you've seen, except at a different angle. 😉
