52 Frames- 2025

Another year of participating in the 52 Frames photography challenge is under my belt. I took a lot more photos for this year's challenge than I had in the past. Of course, only submiting one onto their website.

These are the 52 photos I completed for the challenge, which started with a self portrait in January of 2025 and finished with another self portrait in December of 2025.

Extreem Macro

For several years I've been eyeing the Venus Laowa 25mm f/2.8 2.5-5X Ultra Macro Lens and trying to convince myself to buy one, especially when seeing the super closeup of insects.

Last week I almost bought the lens.

Had it in my cart and was about to press the "proceed with purchase" button when the smart side of my brain said:

"Hey why don't you rent and try it out before buying."

Who knew I had a smart side to my brain!

But it definitely was an advise worth taking.

Hence, I rented the lens for my Z for a 5 day period and within two days of the request, the lens arrived.

I played with it for about three days and realized that it was not a lens for me.

Montreal's Mother Church

The Notre-Dame Basilica is Montréal’s mother church and was the first Gothic Revival style church in Canada. Its history has been marked by the Sulpicians since its foundation and is inseparable from that of Montréal. It speaks to its Catholic roots and the eternal link between art and religion. The Basilica’s style was imitated by several parishes and marked a turning point in religious architectural tradition.
