If you have followed my blog entries so far, you know that our next stop in La Boca, was La Ribera Caminito, a well-known parrilla (Argentine grill restaurant) located on Avenida Don Pedro de Mendoza, right beside the famous tourist street Caminito.
The restaurant is designed to capture the spirit of the neighborhood, with décor inspired by the colorful artistic style associated with La Boca. Inside I found, murals, fileteado porteño artwork,(vibrant, traditional, and highly stylized form of street art originating in Buenos Aires) and antique memorabilia.
I even found someone cutting in and rolling the walls.....
While we enjoyed lunch, the afternoon came alive with live entertainment, including a spirited performance of Malambo—a traditional gaucho dance known for its rapid, rhythmic footwork.
Between the music, the dancing, and the constant movement of the neighborhood outside, the meal became another memorable part of our time in La Boca.
Buenos Aires had another story waiting just around the corner. In the next post, the journey continues as we explored more of the city.
