Sundays In Stuart 2023 (part 3)

While art fairs don't happen every Sunday, (linked here) Market on Main (read about it here) and "Rock'n River Walk" happen each and every Sunday, unless of course you have those downpours Florida is famous for.

"Rock'n Riverwalk is downtown Stuart, FL's signature concert series presented by Stuart Main Street and the Historic Stuart Downtown Business Association. These non-profit organizations are able to host the event at no charge to the public thanks to generous sponsors, attendee donations and additional live music events that benefit Rock'n Riverwalk."

The concerts start around 1:00 pm and continue until about 4:00 pm. The Riverwalk stage can accomated approximately 250 people (seated), all under iconic sail shades. The shade structure has made the venue more comfortable for musicians and fans, especially during the hotter summer months.

But the concert is attended with many more fans than just the ones sitting under the canopy. Tons of people from 30 mile radius of Stuart join in the weekly concerts. Some bring their lawn chairs, others sit in the park benches close by and some even just stand around for the duration of the concert.

Of course this attractions brings in quite a bit of revenue for the locally owned restaurants and pubs as well as a great opportunity for me, who likes to dabble in street photography to walk around snapping.

When the concerts come to an end everyone starts heading out.

But not all the way out.

Majority head to the nearest pubs and restauarants to continue with the festivity.

And you know what I do......

.........Yes, John D., I do indulge as well  😉

Eventually, there comes a time when one must start heading home.

Usually, that happens around dusk or so......

The best part.........

Walking home.

If you are coming down.......
...................see you next Sunday!😉

P.S. You'd be amazed at the number of people who see you walking around with a "real" camera and ask to have their photo taken.

Naturally, I indulge. 😎

  1. You, indulge? I thought you were the designated walker - had to hold everyone else up! Great evening shots and the videos were great. What fun!!😁

    1. John I am the designated walker and I do a great job of holding everyone else up, when I am on my feet 😉😆 but sometimes....well there is a stumble here and there. This area is definitely a fun area and one made for the likes of us (age wise).

  2. Last shot a beautifully lit effort. Competition entry? Would I be correct in saying there is a certain hippy vibe? Was that the music crowd or Stuart in general?

    1. Gethin the vibe here, in Stuart, is definetly the hippie vibe. After all majority of the crowd is our age. The ones coming in from the cold and the ones living within the are are all our age group. There are some younger crowd in the area but downtown Stuart is monstly the older generation. The music crowd is the same, no matter what genre of music. For me it is the attraction, I am not the eldest and definitely not the youngest, I fit right in. As for the last shot...I have taken numerous shots of this bridge, almost to an exagerated amount and I have not found the one I absolutely love....might have to look for one that would fit the competition category.
