Pursuing A Passion For Photography
At first I was just going to take one photo of him, until I saw what he was tugging at. Of course, then I was mezmerized by his actions. He devoured that poor caterpillar in no time.
I believe this guy loves hanging around our house. I have seen him or his twin brother every day for the last few weeks.
He seems to like eating sunflower seeds, therefore I fill the feeder on a regular basis.
Today, the wind was ferocious but he decided to hang around, and I decided to take a few portraits, long distance.
When it come to macro photography, there are a million and one photographers who inspire me. Some only capture insects, others flowers, some go underwater and capture what is below and some just capture everyday items.
In general the choices are unlimited therefore, can't say there has been one specific photographer that inspired me for this week's challenge.
According to the week's challenge "Being inspired isn't the same as a 1:1 copy - far from it, it's about learning and picking up certain aspects and nuances from a fellow photographer. Look at the tones and color palette that's used or perhaps the technique that made it a shot for you to recall."As per usual I photographed several different items using my macro 50mm f/2.8 lens.
Texture inspired by John Durham
This particular one was inspired by Joe Zink's most recent dandelion capture. Loved the curly q's 😉
This black Iris was inspired by lesfleursdelanuit
Frozen flowers inspired by Digital Photography
And so it is endless. One of the most facinating genres of photography; Macro Photography.
Chicago is the perfect place to people watch. You come across so many different characters and so many different expressions. Sometimes it's just nice to walk around and click as you see them. Other times, sitting in one location and watching people walk by becomes the thing to do.
I did both on my most recent trip.
Clicked as I walked around.
Then I decided to sit across the street from the train station; watch and click.
Some decided to give me the finger...as if I could miss that one.
While others were totally oblivious to their surrounding.
One thing I learned from just watching and clicking....we sure are a society who is in love with cellphones.
